Doctoral school is the structure that organises the PhD in universities and "grandes écoles". Your school will have contacts with research laboratories welcoming PhD students. The doctoral school is in charge of registration and renewed registration of the doctoral student in the institution, and is also in charge of the follow-up of the PhD student, in support of the thesis supervisor.

The doctoral school also organises the trainings supervised during your PhD.
