Why learn French ?
Knowing how to speak and write French is always useful even after you leave France. More than 260 million people speak French around the world and French is an official language, de jure or de facto, in nearly 30 countries.

In Egypt, there are three types of institutions that help you to learn or study in French:
- The French Institute in Egypt which is based in four sites in Egypt: in Mounira, Heliopolis, New Cairo and Alexandria. The courses offered by the Institute are for all ages. - The French Alliance of Port-Said also offers quality French courses. The French Alliance of Port Said works under the French Alliance Foundation and is attached to the French Embassy in Egypt.
- The French Excellence Departments in Egypt, the French University in Egypt, Senghor University and the University departments of French studies that depend on the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education offer university education in French. These programs are often supported by the Francophony University Agency - AUF.

How to learn French in France?
You can learn French at various language schools and centers in France. Suitable for beginners or experienced students, for a short or a long stay, you will find courses that correspond to your needs and plans.
To ensure that you learn French in good conditions, choose labeled centers "qualité FLE". This labelling system for French as a Foreign Language Centers (FLE) guarantees you quality language training. You will find the list of these centers on the catalogue of short programs and summer schools published by Campus France.
Several tests and diplomas of French language allow you to prove your level of French. They can sometimes be required registration in institution of higher education in France or Egypt.
