Introduction

Founded in 2009, the creation of the Department of Applied Languages ; a specialized profesionalising French-speaking section ; at of the Faculty of Arts - University of Alexandria was a priority in the light of the huge demand in the labor market for the different specializations offered by this programme.

Targeting Egyptian as well as African and Arab students, who wish to pursue their studies in French without neglecting the Arabic or the English language, this department is innovative in all respects and an example to follow for the modernization of education in Egypt.

FLA

The program's main purpose is to prepare students to specialize in professions requiring language skills, information and communication technologies, skills in the field of international exchanges, as well as knowledge of document management systems. Graduates can become project managers, mission managers, translators, chief technology officers in companies, employees with transversal skills in multinational companies, or specialists in market research, etc.

This program is the first of its kind in the Egyptian universities. It will give impetus to the modernization, the professionalization of French language education in Egypt and contribute to its international influence.

degrees

The applied languages department uses credit hours system. It offers professional internships during the summer holidays to facilitate the students ' entry into the labor market and offer them the opportunity that leads to their first job.
